NN2 Conference Presentation:

A National Community of Practice for Developing and Delivering College Responsive Educational Programs for Community Health Workers session was given for the National Network of Two-year College Allied Health Programs (NN2). Some 60 college faculty, program directors, allied health sciences deans, and other community college administrators participated in the session). Tenth Annual National Community Health Workers/Promotores Conference:

A Basics of Credentialing session was offered for the Tenth Annual National Community Health Workers/Promotores Conference in Mesa Arizona. A plenary session regarding Promising Practices and Key Considerations for Community Health Worker Education as elucidated by the National Advisory Council for the CHW-NEC was offered at the Center for Sustainable Health Outreach (CHSO) 2007 Unity Conference by Durrell Fox (MA) Don Proulx (AZ), and E. Lee Rosenthal (TX) Tampa, FL May 23, 2007

FIPSE Project Directors Meeting:

A poster session was offered by Don Proulx and Lee Rosenthal (co-directors) on the lessons learned by the CHW-NEC Project funded by the Fund For the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) Washington D.C. February 11-13, 2007.

American Public Health Association Meeting (APHA) Presentation:

Providing Community Health Worker Leadership for a Collaborative Focused on Developing Best Practices in College-Supported CHW Education/Training Programs. The panel of presenters included: Durrell Fox (MA), Nancy Collyer(AZ), Romelia Rodriguez(NY), E. Lee Rosenthal (TX), and Linda Scheu (AZ). Boston, MA November 4-8, 2006.

NACHR Conference:

CHW-NEC Co-director Lee Rosenthal met with the NACHR board and regional IHS representatives. Las Vegas, Nevada August 2006

NAO Symposium:

The CHW-NEC project delivered a symposium on Best Practices and Key Considerations for Postsecondary CHW Responsive Programs. This highly interactive symposium was supported by a panel of collaborating project partners, including: Don Proulx and Nancy Collyer (AZ), Meredith Ferraro(CT), Teresa Hines (TX), and Carl Rush (NJ). National AHEC Organizations Workshop in Omaha, Nebraska. Wednesday, June 14, 2006
